Steve Kassel in the Press

Steve Kassel is frequently contacted by the media for views on the IRS and the tax negotiation business.

Steve appeared on Fox News The O'Reilly Factor on September, 13, 2000. Steve was interviewed by Charlie Gibson on Good Morning America on October 11, 1999. That followed a front page story in the New York Times on October 10, 1999. That story was run by hundreds of newspapers, both large and small across the country. The story concerned how the IRS was refusing to accept installment agreements and was leaving billions uncollected despite the intent of the taxpayers to make significant monthly payments.

Steve was quoted by Bankrate.com in 2005 in an article about avoiding tax trouble. Bankrate continually surveys approximately 4,800 financial institutions in all 50 states in order to provide clear, objective, and unbiased rates to consumers.

The October, 1999 issue of Worth magazine features an article on the current state of the IRS entitled More Mr. Nice Guy. Steve Kassel was the only tax practitioner quoted in the article.

On August 4, 1999, he was quoted on CNNfn.com, one of the most heavily visited financial web sites on how to hire a tax pro to negotiate with the Internal Revenue Service.

Steve Kassel was quoted in the New York Times on July 18, 1999 in an article on how changes at the IRS are affecting the tax representation business.

On July 20, 1999, he was quoted again in the New York Times in an article on newly announced IRS hardship rules.

In January, 1998, Steve was quoted in the nation's leading tax industry publication, Tax Notes in the Feature of the Week on the IRS Offer in Compromise program.

Steve appeared on WJMN Boston on April 18, 2000 as well as on KSSK, Honolulu on April 29, 2000. Both are top rated stations in their respective markets.
